Birthstone is very special gemstone associated to a month of birth. Birthstones were very popular in ancient time of Jewish during the first century. Twelve gemstones in Aaron's breastplate were symbolized the twelve months of the year. Civilizations were believed that each gemstone had unimaginable powers such as luck, health, and prosperity. The belief of birthstones is still continued to these days.

1. January: Garnet Gemstone

8. August: Peridot Gemstone

9. September: Sapphire Gemstone  

The Persians believed that the Earth rested on a sapphire, and the sky got its color due to the gem's reflection. This blue stone was considered as the symbolic of wisdom and purity. It is thought to protect against envy and even poisoning. Many believed that placing a venomous snake in a sapphire-made vessel could kill it.

10. October: Opal and Pink Tourmaline Gemstone

Opal is a formation of non-crystalline silica gel which is believed to bring beauty and happiness. The ancient Romans believed that wearing opal could protected from diseases, and evil.

11. November: Citrine Gemstone
